Chapter 1, ''That Little Spark'' 1 The Prophecy of the Souls
It was another morning in the peaceful town of Pawtropolis… The sun frisked its way off the trees and into the waving and swaying blades of grass that appealed below the roots of the tree. Birds chirped to call back to their young that awaited their mothers to come and feed them, though it never worked for the new hatchlings… The wind would always stir off their screeches back into the sunshine and off the buildings in town to leave an odd discomfort to those that dared to cross near the noisy forest.
My house, (which was in one of the many alleyways that held buildings), always got hit directly from the sun and through my window. I have to move my bed since it is under the hovering window and causes me discomfort.
I soon felt the harmful sun's rays grasp onto my bed sheets. It was too warm for my furry and fluffy body, so I squirmed around a bit, hitting my alarm clock with one of my paws that were hanging off the base of my bed. *DING, TO-* It hit my velvet floor with an odd, yet silenced thud. In attempt to ring, it quirkily shakes all around the floor that covered below me… It wasn't the ringing causing me annoyance, but the repeated thudding from the clock flopping on the floor madly.
*CHI-CHIP* The batteries died, then I rose from my bed to let out a mournful yawn. *YYYAAAWWWNNN…* ''Wha-…. What time is it…?'' I try to look for my alarm clock (which was now on the floor) by sliding my paw on the nightstand that it once was on. No use, I couldn't seem to hit it! Curiously, I decide to claw my back legs into the wood of the bed and hang myself down to look under the dark depths under my bed…
I slip, and *PLOP!*… I fall onto my fuzzy floor. Upon falling, I felt my tail swish over something cold and smooth… It must have been that STUPID alarm clock that decides to annoy me every morning. Using my face, I slide myself next to it to pick it up with stiff paws, and take a quick peek at the current time. My luck, I was late for something… But, did I even have anything to do…?
I glance at the dead alarm clock in my messy paws. It was 10:00 AM. Though, I couldn't get the thought out of my head that was telling me that I was late for something… With all my ''Hating the morning'' power, I slouch onto my two paws to check the calendar on my bedroom wall… ''Let's see… December 1, 2012…? Huh? What is that there?'' I squint to see a poorly made red circle out of marker surrounding that specific square on the calendar.
Finally gaining some of my normal vision, I made out the words in my mind. (…December 1, Date…?!) I re-look it over. (…Ohhhh… Playdate…..) I had crossed out the word ''Date'' and replaced a word above the scribbling with that word being ''Play''. Still… It must have been with somebody I hated, putting my increased heart rate down to a rock's pace. I sigh, and then see a tiny name… Trickster?.... Oh yeah! My childhood friend! It had been years since we had locked eyes, and I KNEW that friendship spark would soar back up after I saw his teal eyes!
''YAAAAYYY, KIPPER!~'' I look down onto the bed sheets, and saw my doll Kipper. Not the fanciest fellow. ''I GOT A….'' *giggles* I lean down to whisper into my torn doll's ears. ''Date! Ehehehe!'' My doll plops into the messed up bed sheets face first not being able to move anyway.
